No Ordinary House Interior Design Studio approached the project with a clear guiding principle, strengthening the relationship between the home’s interior, the garden and the natural environment. This idea informed every design decision, from large scale spatial interventions to the selection of materials and finishes. At ground level, polished concrete extends seamlessly from the interior into the garden, dissolving the boundary between inside and out, while warm timber elements throughout the home introduce texture and reinforce the Arts and Crafts heritage of the building.
A defining feature of the project is the internal courtyard, introduced as part of the architectural redesign. No Ordinary House Interior Design Studio transformed this space into a living wall, ensuring that even the basement level remains connected to light, greenery and the changing seasons. Five rooms and a central hallway overlook this evolving feature, creating a shared visual link to nature across different areas of the home.
