Peti Lau Inc has transformed a once stark Manhattan pied à terre into a vivid expression of its owner’s imaginative and refined Burner spirit. The client, a global entrepreneur and longtime Burning Man participant, had lived for years in an all white contemporary box typical of early 2000s high rise condos. Peti Lau Inc was tasked with reshaping the space into a warm and inviting retreat that honoured both the expansive skyline views and the client’s bold, creative personality.

Peti Lau Inc divided the living room with a glass partition to form both a family room and a formal entertaining space. A custom cuddle puddle sofa offers generous seating for gatherings or quiet naps, reflecting the client’s desire for comfort and versatility. The guest bedroom features a built in desk and Murphy bed sofa that maximize function without sacrificing style.

Throughout the home, Peti Lau Inc balanced rich colour and tactile elements with the crisp brightness of the high rise architecture. The moody feather walled bedroom contrasts strikingly with the vast Manhattan skyline, creating a memorable dialogue between intimacy and urban energy that defines the project’s transformative success.
