Tell us a little about your background in design:
Trained as an architect in Brazil, my design philosophy was shaped by the country’s rich heritage of craftsmanship and the influence of my late father, a self-taught architect, whose creativity guided my early path.

After relocating to London two decades ago, I built my career in the ultra-prime residential sector, working with a discerning international clientele. As Creative Director at a respected interior Design studio in London, I led a number of significant projects before founding my own practice. Now at the helm of my own Studio, I bridge my architectural foundations with a passion for bespoke detail, delivering considered, elegant spaces for a discerning global clientele.

How would you describe your personal design style?:
My personal style is shaped by my background in architecture. I’m driven by a love for timeless elegance, which to me means creating spaces that don’t need to follow trends to look good.

I like to focus on clean lines and natural light to create spaces that feel ordered but never cold. For me, it’s about making sure a room feels just as beautiful and relevant ten years from now as it does today.

Where does your design inspiration come from?:
While museums, design fairs, and a curated stack of magazines are constant sources of inspiration, travel remains essential—it feeds my soul, sharpens my eye, and shifts perspective.

My Italian heritage is fundamental to my approach, shaping a refined sensitivity to proportion, materials, and timeless design.

Having lived and worked in London for over two decades, I continue to draw inspiration from the city’s diversity and its rich dialogue between historic and contemporary architecture.

In what direction do you feel that design is moving towards in a general sense?:
I believe design is increasingly moving towards a more thoughtful and human-centred approach.
Today there is a growing awareness that interiors should do more than simply look beautiful—they should enhance wellbeing, comfort, and the way people genuinely live in their homes.

Designers are paying much greater attention to how spaces function emotionally as well as visually, creating environments that feel calm, balanced, and supportive of everyday life.

Name five key themes to consider when approaching design in the future.:
1.Natural Connection: bringing the outdoors in by maintaining views that connect us to nature.
2.Wellness at Home: creating spaces that lower stress through better natural light, air quality and calming textures.
3.Quality over trend: moving away from “fast-fashion” interiors and focusing on high-quality materials that last a lifetime.
4. Light as a Foundation: Future design is about more than how a room looks; it’s about how it feels. I prioritize natural light to improve well-being, using it to highlight materials and create a sense of calm that lasts throughout the day.
5. A Unique Perspective: Being unique is a core motivation for me. The future of design should be about moving away from mass-produced looks and focusing on bespoke, original ideas that give a home its own personality and soul.

If you could offer one piece of advice when it comes to designing, what would it be?:
My advice would be not to over-design. Leave room for small, meaningful pieces—a discovered antique, a unique book, or an object collected along the way. These quiet, unexpected details bring depth and authenticity, and ultimately shape how a space is felt and lived in.

How important are The International Design & Architecture Awards?:
Recognising only the finest designers worldwide, this nomination places us among the most talented in the industry — a true milestone for our studio. The International Design & Architecture Awards represent a benchmark of excellence, celebrating the very best in global design and offering an inspiring platform for innovation and creativity.

What projects are you currently working on?:
We’re currently working on a series of exciting projects, which include a townhouse in Belgravia, a major mansion project in Keston Park, and two terraced houses in Queen’s Park. Additionally, we are overseeing the creation of a flagship private clinic in Chelsea. Projected to be the largest beauty clinic in the district, this project allows us to apply our bespoke residential sensibility to a high-end commercial scale.

What was your favourite project to work on and why?:
Our first project in Jeddah remains my favorite—a sprawling villa defined by its seamless connection between the interior and its verdant outdoor spaces. The highlight was the integration of a stunning swimming pool and lush green areas that offered a tranquil escape from the urban heat. Overseeing the flawless installation of bespoke elements in such a grand setting was incredibly rewarding and it taught us a great deal about managing international projects.

What was your most challenging project to work on and why?:
Our first project in Jeddah was both our greatest challenge and our most significant triumph. Overcoming language barriers and the immense logistical feat of air-freighting bespoke elements, we delivered a flawless on-site installation. This experience became the blueprint for our studio’s approach to complex, high-stakes international projects.

Which products/services could you not live without when designing?:
When designing, we rely on a few key partners and products that consistently deliver quality and reliability. We prioritize materials and finishes that offer consistency and excellence, because it’s the details that make all the difference in the final result.

What are your aims and goals for the next twelve months?:
Our goal is to continue delivering exceptional, high-quality projects in London while continuing expanding our portfolio into the Middle East.

We are entering a phase of intentional growth, seeking out new opportunities that challenge our technical design capabilities and allow us to redefine luxury living across diverse global markets.

Your most treasured possession?:
My family, and above all my two girls. They mean everything to me and are my greatest treasure.

Your favourite holiday destination?:
I’m a sun-seeker at heart. While I’m based in London, I head to the tropics whenever possible.
My family and I love traveling to sunny, tropical destinations, but Ibiza is the place we return to every year. As professional scuba divers, my husband and I—along with our kids—are always looking for our next underwater adventure. There’s something about the clarity and colors of the ocean that constantly inspires my design work.

Your favourite hotel, restaurant & bar?:
Hotel: Six Senses Hotel, Ibiza – A masterclass in “utopian village” design. I love how they used terracotta tones and natural stone to camouflage the structure into the rugged Xarraca Bay cliffs.
Restaurant: Noci, Battersea Power Station – My go-to for incredible Sicilian food. The juxtaposition of authentic, handmade pasta against the iconic, industrial scale of the Turbine Hall B creates a stunning architectural dining setting.
Bar: The Connaught Bar – An old favourite that defines balance. The David Collins Studio interior—with its platinum silver leaf walls and 1920s Cubist influences—remains a masterclass in elegance that never feels dated.

Your favourite book, film & song?:
Book: The Architecture of Happiness by Alain de Botton. It’s a designer’s staple that explores how the spaces we inhabit shape our wellbeing.
Film: The Great Beauty (La Grande Bellezza).
Song: The Girl from Ipanema.

Your favourite food and drink?:
Food: Pasta
Drink: I am very much of a tea person; I love green tea and all the other herbal teas.

Your favourite way to spend an afternoon?:
My favourite way to spend an afternoon is with my family, enjoying a walk in the park and a takeaway coffee together.

If you weren’t in this sector, what would your alternative profession be?:
I’d be running a scuba diving centre in the tropics. My husband and I always dreamt of a life by the sea, and since we’re both avid divers, there’s something incredibly appealing about trading site visits for reef explorations and building a community centered around our love for the ocean.
