Tell us a little about the company background:
Based in the heart of Copenhagen, Eskild Hansen Design Studio is one of Europe’s most recognised independent design studios, celebrated for award-winning work across multiple industries. Founded by Eskild Hansen, the multidisciplinary practice combines a distinctly Scandinavian design philosophy with an international outlook, delivering beautiful, functional and minimal work that enhances the way people live and work. From product design and brand creation to innovation strategy and immersive experiences, the studio is known for making technology more human, accessible and engaging. Working with clients across the globe, the Copenhagen-based team draws inspiration from its creative home city while embracing a diverse culture shaped by designers from eight different countries. United by a shared passion for innovation, authenticity and exceptional outcomes, the studio approaches each project with one guiding principle: be who you are, and do great work.

How does your company approach each project from concept to completion?:
Every project begins long before the first sketch. It begins with understanding a way of living.

We take time to immerse ourselves in our client’s world — their values, their pace, their expectations of quality and privacy. From there, we begin to shape a vision that feels deeply personal, yet quietly extraordinary.

The process is intentionally refined. Ideas are developed with precision, stripped back to their essence, and elevated through materiality, proportion and detail.

By the time a project reaches completion, it should feel inevitable — as if it could never have been designed any other way.

Where inspires your company in this sector?:
Inspiration comes from places that are not immediately obvious.

It may be the silence of a perfectly balanced interior, the tactility of a material aged over time, or the way light moves through a space at different moments of the day.

We are deeply rooted in Scandinavian design heritage, but equally inspired by the rituals of global luxury — from architecture and art to the craftsmanship found in the world’s most exceptional objects.

True inspiration lies in creating something that feels both rare and effortless.

In what direction do you feel that your projects are moving towards in a general sense?:
We are moving toward a quieter, more intelligent form of luxury.

One where technology disappears into the background, where sustainability is inherent rather than declared, and where design is experienced rather than noticed.

The future is not about more — it is about better. More considered, more precise, more personal.

Name five key themes to consider when approaching projects in the future. :
– Invisible complexity — where advanced solutions are seamlessly integrated
– Emotional resonance — spaces and products that create a lasting feeling
– Enduring materials — chosen for how they age, not just how they appear
– Absolute precision — in proportion, detailing and execution
– Discretion — luxury that speaks quietly, but with confidence

If your company could offer one piece of advice when it comes to projects, what would it be?:
The difference between something good and something exceptional often lies in what is removed — allowing the essential to stand with clarity and confidence.

How important are The International Yacht & Aviation Awards?:
They represent a moment of reflection within a fast-moving and highly demanding industry.

At this level, projects are the result of immense collaboration, ambition and precision. Recognition is not only about celebrating the final outcome, but acknowledging the discipline and dedication behind it.

It is a platform that honours those who strive for something beyond the expected.

What projects are you currently working on?:
We are currently engaged in a number of private commissions across luxury interiors, bespoke product design and future mobility.

Each project is approached as a world of its own — defined by a distinct narrative, a specific client and a clear ambition to create something that feels singular.

What was one of your company’s key projects to work on and why?
Our most significant projects are those where we are invited into the earliest stages of a vision — where nothing is predefined.

These are the moments where design has the greatest impact. Where we can shape not only the outcome, but the entire experience around it.

Those projects stay with you, because they are not simply designed — they are authored

What was your company’s most challenging project to work on and why?:
The most challenging projects are those where perfection is expected, but complexity must remain invisible.

Balancing advanced engineering, performance requirements and spatial clarity requires absolute discipline. Every detail must be resolved, yet nothing should feel forced.

That tension — between complexity and simplicity — is where the most rewarding work happens.

Which products/services could you not live without when completing projects? E.g. Lighting companies, furniture companies:
We rely on relationships rather than products.

Trusted collaborators, master craftsmen, material experts and engineers — people who understand nuance and share an uncompromising approach to quality.

The tools may evolve, but the ability to translate an idea into something tangible, precise and enduring remains essential.

What are your company’s aims and goals for the next twelve months?:
Our focus is on refinement rather than expansion.

We aim to work on fewer, more significant projects — deepening our involvement, elevating our level of detail and continuing to push the boundaries of what defines contemporary luxury.

At the same time, we are investing in emerging technologies to ensure that innovation remains seamlessly integrated into everything we create.

The ambition is simple: to create work that feels timeless from the moment it is experienced
