Rebecca Sudic Interiors

Rebecca Sudic Interiors has completed the transformation of a 6000 square foot family home in Hertfordshire, delivering a richly layered interior that blends bold colour, expressive pattern and refined comfort. The project involved the near total demolition of the original structure, with only two principal external walls retained, allowing Rebecca Sudic Interiors to fully reimagine the internal layout while respecting the home’s original footprint. The front elevation adopts a refined mock Tudor character, while the rear opens dramatically to the garden through expansive sliding glass doors that celebrate views of the mature landscape.

Rebecca Sudic Interiors also oversaw the replacement of the existing pool house with a new purpose built structure designed to sit comfortably alongside the main house. To the rear, a fully soundproofed recording studio was added, carefully positioned to enjoy uninterrupted garden views while meeting the technical demands of a professional music space. These additional elements extend the home’s functionality while maintaining a strong visual connection to the outdoors.

Internally, Rebecca Sudic Interiors created a scheme that balances a quirky mid century modern influence with more traditional detailing. This approach is most evident in the kitchen and bathrooms, where classic forms are layered with contemporary finishes. The client’s love of colour shaped the design, with a rich palette of greens, rusts and mustard tones echoing the surrounding garden and bringing nature inside.

Bold patterns, layered textures and tactile fabrics add depth throughout, while a dramatic feature hallway forms the emotional heart of the home. Anchored by a sculptural staircase and fireplace, it establishes a confident and playful tone that carries through the property. The expansive open plan kitchen, dining and living space further reinforces this character, flooded with natural light and opening directly onto the garden to create a seamless flow between inside and out. Through cohesive colour strategy and thoughtful spatial design, Rebecca Sudic Interiors has delivered a family home that feels expressive, timeless and deeply personal.
