Rooted in the character and walkability of its established neighborhood, the project reinterprets traditional Southern architecture through a refined European lens, drawing influence from French château design while remaining attuned to contemporary family living.

The success of the design lies in its clarity and restraint. A singular vision guides both the architecture and interiors, ensuring cohesion and avoiding competing stylistic gestures. Classical proportions and time-honored materials establish a sense of permanence, while carefully integrated modern elements introduce contrast and prevent the home from feeling overly formal.
Functionality is central to the layout. Rather than adopting an open-plan concept, the residence is composed of defined rooms, each with a clear purpose and identity. This approach creates a natural flow throughout the home, supporting both everyday living and entertaining while fostering a calm, intuitive environment.
Material selection plays a pivotal role in shaping the atmosphere. Limestone, white oak, marble, and unlacquered brass were chosen for their enduring qualities, complemented by reclaimed beams and curated antiques that add depth and authenticity. These elements are balanced with contemporary detailing, including tailored millwork and sculptural lighting.
Ultimately, Wellington reflects a considered lifestyle. It is elegant yet comfortable, refined yet approachable, a timeless home designed to evolve with family life while maintaining architectural integrity and lasting visual appeal.
