Beykoz Manor stands as a testament to the vision and craftsmanship of Sabine Rividi Architecture Studio, which was commissioned to undertake a full-scale renovation, restoration, and interior build of a dilapidated residence situated in the forests of Istanbul. Conceived as a bespoke turnkey project, the transformation sought to create a distinctive weekend retreat where the client could host large family gatherings and social events.

What began as a straightforward request for a neutral-toned renovation evolved into a deeply personal creation of character and warmth. Through close collaboration with the client, the studio introduced vibrant colours and artistic elements to reflect the surrounding forest and its wildlife. A team of mural specialists was engaged to restore and hand-paint the dining room, while custom art and furniture curation ensured that each piece contributed to the property’s unique identity.

One of the project’s highlights was a bespoke dining room lighting fixture, personally designed by Sabine Rividi. Inspired by the natural world, the fixture combined brass washers resembling the heart of a flower with a body constructed and painted in an automotive workshop to emulate the organic form of a tree branch. Numerous artisans contributed to the project, including a specialist casting artist who reproduced historic 1800 Otis elevator button plaques for customized use within the interiors.

The ultimate ambition of Sabine Rividi Architecture Studio was to breathe life into the ruins, creating a joyful and inspiring refuge. The final result integrates the colours, textures, and spirit of the forest, seamlessly expressed through furniture, lighting, and curated artworks.
