Inspired by the simplicity of Japandi design, Sara Slade Interior Design interpreted the aesthetic in a way that reflected the clients’ lifestyle rather than following a rigid design formula. The result is a home that feels calm and uncluttered while remaining warm, welcoming and practical for family life and entertaining. Soft earthy tones, natural materials and layered textures were carefully selected to complement the beautiful green surroundings visible from every room, allowing the landscape to remain an integral part of the living experience.
Throughout the project, Sara Slade Interior Design focused on creating an interior that balances refinement with functionality. Every decision, from the layout and furniture to the lighting and finishes, was made to support everyday living while maintaining an atmosphere of understated luxury. The restrained palette avoids feeling clinical by introducing warmth and texture, resulting in spaces that are both elegant and inviting.
The trust established between Sara Slade Interior Design and the clients played a significant role in shaping the final outcome. Knowing the family valued quality and would care for their home allowed lighter finishes and natural materials to take centre stage without compromising practicality. Rather than relying on heavy or overly durable finishes, the design embraces a fresh, effortless character that remains suitable for busy family life.
