The project benefited from a long-standing relationship between the studio and the clients, having previously collaborated on two homes together. This established trust and clear communication, allowing creativity to flourish throughout the process. The clients were not interested in following the prevailing aesthetic within the exclusive Silo Ridge development. Instead, they wanted a home that felt fresh, youthful and personal, equally suited to casual family dinners and lavish entertaining.
Shelley Cekirge Interiors approached the design through the lens of architecture, functionality and the clients’ lifestyle. The expansive open-plan living and kitchen area, with its high peaked ceiling, provided the ideal setting for bold colour without overwhelming the space. Hand-painted Venetian plaster walls brought the surrounding landscape indoors, while durable fabrics and leathers ensured the home remained practical for active family life.
