The 12,500-square-foot house was shaped around the client’s passion for entertaining, with professional-grade kitchens, multiple work zones and carefully organised circulation supporting large gatherings with ease. At the centre of the home, a two-storey wine silo clad in patinated steel stores 2,000 bottles and features a rotating ladder and hoist, combining performance with theatre. Large bronze pivot windows and expansive terraces strengthen the relationship between interior and exterior spaces, ensuring the surrounding water and horizon remain ever present.

A defining feature is the turbine-inspired spiral stair, which connects the primary suite to private wellness spaces below. Its tapered timber treads and perforated metal guard create a sculptural focal point that captures light and movement while reinforcing the home’s industrial language.

The project demanded close collaboration with specialist trades, including steel fabricators, stone craftspeople, decorative plasterers and custom lighting fabricators, whose precision and craftsmanship balanced industrial strength with warmth, texture and liveability throughout the residence.
