The International Design & Architecture Awards 2026
Studio Mundi Ltd developed the scheme in response to the architectural character of the renovated property, ensuring that every element feels naturally embedded within its context. Across the formal living room and the kitchen dining and sitting areas, the design focuses on integrating statement furniture pieces that prioritise comfort while celebrating traditional craft. Bespoke items, produced by artisans in workshops across England and beyond, are paired with curated artworks and accessories to create a layered and cohesive interior.
A key aspect of the project is the thoughtful incorporation of the clients’ existing possessions. Studio Mundi Ltd reimagined personal objects and artworks, giving them renewed purpose within the scheme while preserving their sentimental value. This approach introduces a sense of continuity and belonging, allowing the home to feel both curated and personal.
Materiality plays a central role throughout. Studio Mundi Ltd selected a restrained palette of natural finishes, including linen, wool and hand finished surfaces, to establish warmth and depth without excess. Subtle accent tones enrich a neutral base, while antique accessories introduce character and a dialogue between past and present.
The result is an interior defined by authenticity and quiet luxury, where sustainability and craftsmanship are seamlessly integrated. Studio Mundi Ltd has created a home that feels grounded and enduring, offering a calm and welcoming environment in which family life can unfold.
