In the renowned alpine destination of Verbier, Switzerland, Studiododici, led by architect Francesca Cutini, has transformed a traditional chalet into a refined, contemporary retreat that seamlessly balances innovation with mountain authenticity. The 150-square-metre residence unfolds across multiple levels, all connected by a striking self-supporting glass staircase the sculptural centerpiece of the design.
Set within a landscape known for its off-piste skiing and timeless chalet architecture, the project reinterprets local vernacular style through modern craftsmanship and sustainable materials. Commissioned by a client deeply passionate about Verbier and its alpine culture, Cutini was entrusted with a complete turnkey renovation of a disused property originally clad in carpet and fir panelling.
