The motor yacht Amer 110 was launched in August 2017. She is a one-off model called Unique, for a special Russian repeat client. In September 2017 at the Carlton Hotel in Cannes, during the Cannes Yachting Festival, Amer 110 won the ‘Most Innovative’ Award in the World Yacht Trophies.
The shipyard Amer Yachts- Permare, in collaboration with Volvo Penta, has dared to install a revolutionary layout engine system, with 4 IPS, for the first time on a motor yacht. This creates a decrease of consumption and noise emission with a more comfortable feel. In 2017, Amer 110 became the first pleasure ship in the world to have 4 Volvo Penta IPS engines. The owner requested for her style to be a modern review and reinterpretation of the Art Nouveau style, using techniques and materials which are characteristic of the Art Deco movement, adapting them to nautical use.

The furniture, characterised by soft and curved lines, has been made according to the tradition of woodwork typical of the beginning of the last century. By matching wood such as Walnut, Zebrano, Briarwood, with precious green Onyx, inlays, lacquering and gold plating. The whole interior is enriched with inlays and stained glass or hand painted by Florentine craftsmen. For the decorative glasses and mirrors, Amer Yachts has chosen to work with the glassware of the Maestro Vetraio Guido Polloni, who has been creating spectacular glassware since 1919.

It was important that this design maintained a classic exterior, with the interior design being the most innovative in the world. The designer’s favourite aspect is said to be the elegant luxury, environmentally conscious (through less noise pollution), the art deco style and its world innovation. The design works well as it has followed the owner’s sophisticated taste. Amer Yachts were happy to satisfy his design request as they think the interior and exterior design is perfect for this yacht. There is a good balance between innovation technology, sporty design and the tradition for the interiors.

The upholstery of the leather seats has been quilted using the typical Capitonné effect from the Art Deco tradition, as well as decorated silk wall panels. The floor has a light-coloured carpet, edged with a tone-on-tone. For the lighting, Tiffany lamps enrich the living area, Deco style lightings have been chosen to be used on the main and lower decks, bringing into prominence the paintings and mirrors with handmade decorations.
Attention has been paid to every single detail. Even for the bathrooms, high quality elegant accessories and glazed brass have been chosen. All faucets are elegant and highly ornamental, supplied by THG Paris collection Itaque Gold Décor. The collection chosen by the owner is classic, full of modernity. Borrowed from Bernardaud, the culinary-art, combines the paradox of classic, almost historic, elegance and modern purity. The sparkling white Bernardaud porcelain combines with gold through tap fittings and accessories. The bathroom floor, in green onyx, is throughout the owner’s cabin with his heated study.

The owner of Amer 110 has chosen to further enhance the yacht by the exterior paint, creating a delicate and elegant contrast between the hull’s gold metallic colour and the whole colour of the superstructure. Amer Yachts applied a new and revolutionary antifouling paint system, coming from military navy application. It consists of a protective film on the hull that attempts to avoid the yearly cost for antifouling as this new technology only needs to be changed every 4 or 5 years. The result is a sumptuous and spectacular boat, unique one of its kind, reflecting the owners’ strong personalities and their sophisticated taste.
