The famous nature reserve Khao Yai inspired this chenille velvet woven fabric in a textured honeycomb pattern. The Khao Yai collection of 16 nature inspired colour ways, is part of the Sanctuary range; inspired by primeval forests with verdant foliage, rushing streams and cloud-covered peaks providing a natural sanctuary for beauty and those who seek to escape. Crafted from Rayon and cotton, this fabric has 23,000 martindale rubs making it perfect for upholstery use. The quality and simple luxurious detail of the design is noticeable.

The Khao Yai fabric has been popular with Jim Thompson’s aviation client’s due to its simplicity and luxurious feel. The texture given by the woven techniques are soft yet exquisite creating detailing that really lifts a space. In house hand woven techniques are used. Jim Thompson design team have their own mills, design studio, and research and development operations to achieve the highest quality of products that are unique in their performance and beauty. Shown here in the colour snow, the collection also offers 15 other nature-inspired tones including gold, earthy brown, red and rusts to tempt your imagination.
