Newport Yacht Interiors were given the opportunity to “artistically infuse life’ into the yacht Calliope interior and exterior living spaces. Newport Yacht Interiors met the requests of the client by incorporating the various bold shades found in impressionist paintings, notably Monet’s Water Lilies, sea glass, sea life and strong hints of coral. Newport Yacht Interiors clients envisioned a fun and lively interior, that stood out from the monochromatic interior prevalent in today’s yacht market.

Newport Yacht Interiors interpretation led to the use of exclusive luxury fabrics, melding bold and refreshing colour relationships, while layering patterns and textures of fabrics and wall coverings which embody the spirit of the impressionist brush stroke style. Newport Yacht Interiors designed the staterooms incorporating striking characteristics based on the client’s aesthetic preferences for lively, nature inspired elements. Newport Yacht Interiors balanced the boldness of colour use within the interior living spaces by saturating the staterooms. While maintaining a more selective use through the main salon, flybridge salon and all exterior spaces.

The furniture throughout Calliope was selected so that it hinted at the airiness of an outdoor, relaxed environment with open back chairs and glass accent tables. By using natural materials and fabrics which reflect the clients chosen palette touches of coral and sea life, the details are subtly incorporated throughout the design. The opportunity to be boldly creative by interpreting the essence of 2D artwork with 3D interior design appointments with intricate detail by layering vivid colours and patterns was the key to success in translating the client’s direction into an exceptional result.
