Fine detailing, striking artwork and a blend of classic and modern motifs paired with state-of-the-art technological innovation. The interior of this BBJ 777-8X is a revelation in fine detail and well-thought-out functionality within an interior that pushes the boundaries of traditional aviation interior design.

The interior concept by Jet Aviation takes advantage of the BBJ 777X’s size; featuring lounges, a game and cinema area, a stately office, private work spaces, three guest bedrooms and a master suite that includes its own lounge, luxurious bedroom, spacious dressing/bathroom area and a very large shower and hammam.

This is a cabin like no other, an interior that truly brings the elegance of residential style into the air. Like many contemporary homes, the design contrasts the modern and the traditional: minimal furniture and design pieces within a Hausmann-inspired shell; detailed, light ceilings and sidewall treatments with patterns and traditional panelling, against a darker wood floor with fine marquetry inlays; delicate detailing, such as engraved inlays and floral fabric inserts, alongside playful contemporary art from artists such as Jeff Koons and Matthias Kiss.

Throughout, the latest technology has been seamlessly integrated to provide the ultimate in-flight experience. Window panels are composed of two types of glass layers: transparent OLED layers & smart glass. Passengers can dim the windows or display virtual curtains or window shades, and even view information by using the window as a large touch screen.

Technology is also woven into less obvious elements of the design. For example, in the master bedroom, a lower nightstand drawer provides induction-charging for a phone or tablet, heated flooring throughout the Master and VIP areas provides a subtle warmth, and a backlit pattern on the dining table is picked out in fibre optics. Many of the technological features and cabin functions can be steered by gesture or are voice, and all are designed with a weight conscious and compact approach in mind.

Jet Aviation wanted to create an interior which embraces a combination of both modern and classical aesthetics, based on the mantra “maximalism vs minimalism”. The attention to detail is second to none, recalling the levels of elegance usually reserved for private homes rather than traditional aircraft interiors.
