Project Name: Cheoy Lee 118

Naval Architect/Exterior Designer: Overing Yacht Design

Interior Designer: Karen Lynn Interiors

Shipyard: Cheoy Lee Yachts

Cheoy Lee 118 is a concept project, which was created by Karen Lynn Interiors and Overing Yacht Design for a yacht newbuild project for Cheoy Lee Shipyard in China.

Balanced styling, with three decks and graceful lines makes for a yacht that is comfortable in a diverse number of settings. It is characterised by fresh exterior styling, intelligent interior space utilisation, and a proven hull form by naval architect Jon Overing. Her 6’ draft allows for easy port and marina access or staying on the hook in a quiet cove. In addition to this, full walk-around decks serve to create efficient access from bow to stern.

For the project’s interior facets, Karen Lynn Interiors sought to create a series of interior design renderings based on the naval architect’s 3D model of the actual yacht design that is due to be built. The final product are true to life, and as such will be reflected within the final build of the 118.

For Karen Lynn, a favourite aspect of this process and the project overall, was being able to create new designs with a truly blank slate. Especially when the designs were for an amazing shipyard in the form of Cheoy Lee.

The interior design works so well as it is aimed a prospective owner with a neutral palette in mind, which could easily be adapted to something specific to their taste. Karen Lynn Interiors has created a modern clean chic interior styling that is appealing and beautiful, and would work for a variety of clients.
