As a supersonic aircraft, the cabin has different profile missions than typical subsonic business jets. With the ability to travel twice as fast, missions have different requirements and greater flexibility due to the shorter flight times.

The cabin design was inspired by the US Executive Branch and its mission and values, as well as, the Peregrine Falcon, renowned for its speed – both by its movement and its beautiful look. Organic movement inspired by the Peregrine Falcon can be found in the carpet design, reflecting the natural movement of the falcon in flight. Subtle details incorporating the barred feather pattern can be found in upholstered bulkhead patterns in the aft passenger compartment and in the backlit panelling of the first suite.

The layout is designed to be flexible enough for the various missions of the Vice President, Secretary of Defense, and other leaders of the Executive Branch. The first suite is a 3-passenger meeting room for the highest ranking distinguished visitors to hold private meetings, video tele-conference, and enjoy respite between missions. Based on USAF input, three separate VIP seats take the place of a divan due to the preference for each passenger to have ample personal space – and less need for a berthing divan due to the aircraft’s supersonic speed.

Next is an 8-passenger suite that is fully functional for working, eating, and resting with the pocket doors at each end of the compartment for full privacy. Privacy is of the utmost critical for the two private suites due to the nature of their business. This spacious middle compartment also takes advantage of the tallest height in the cabin of this non-constant fuselage. Upwash lighting is added in the headliner design to give the space ambient glow.

Lastly, the third major compartment consists of 20 business class passenger seats. These seats come equipped with pullout tray tables, space for personal electronic devices, and materials focused on maintainability without sacrificing style. The seats are covered with hydro-dipped wood pattern and premium leather.

Throughout the cabin, fine materials are utilized including quartz stone flooring and counters, wood veneer, metal plating, premium leather, ultraleathers, ultrasuedes, and a custom wool-silk blend carpet. Colors were inspired by nature, to offer a calming space for what may be a stressful work environment one day to a space of respite after a critical mission is complete.

This design works well because it doesn’t sacrifice form for function. As a plane of the people, the design is meant to be sophisticated without being superfluous. It utilizes premium quality materials to stand the test of time and meet the ever-changing needs of the government.
