Stepping aboard M/Y Boardwalk, a guest is transported into a world of elegance, opulence and comfort. Classic designs are enhanced with eye-catching details that delight and entice a guest to enter a space, to absorb the beauty of their surroundings and immerse themselves in the experience of being at sea. It is designed for entertainment, though still in such a way that each of the spaces would remain tasteful in the fullness of time. With interiors by Halffman Designs, M/Y Boardwalk is a 76.5 M luxury superyacht of American design and European craftsmanship.

For the interiors, Amy Halffman of Halffman Designs drew her original inspiration for the design from an Estella Fransbergen sculpture of a woman’s torso emerging from a spiral of sparkling crystals and pearls. As a strong structure of luxury and beauty, there are clear connections to the 76.5 metre luxury superyacht. The sculptureā€™s fusion of masculine and feminine energy inspired her to think about luxury and beauty and how they intertwine with functionality and comfort. In turn, M/Y Boardwalk is a captivating and timeless yacht, with beautiful spaces that are spacious and functional. Luxurious yet comfortable, dazzling yet inviting, this is a boat built to entertain guests and family.

The design works because it was a creative collaboration across an owner team that understands each other. This is the 5th boat that Halffman Designs have completed for the owner, and so there is an understanding of what the owner truly wants from the vessel. A key aspect of the brief for Boardwalk was spaces for the owner to entertain. Bar areas can be found on each deck, and the dining area in the main salon can seat many guests. Over 54 different stones, marbles and tiles adorn the surfaces, walls and floors to give each space a different yet equally opulent feel. In the main salon is a backlit opal white for a clean and classic design. Wool and silk custom carpets are used throughout the design, luxury wall coverings in soft white creams and grey shimmer and catch the light like waves outside the porthole. The rooms glimmer by design. Each lighting fixture placed with purpose, interior and exterior lights illuminate and connect with the design of the hull, the curve of the staircase, the glint of crystal pulls, the sparkle of moonlight stretching across the water.

No detail has been overlooked in the vision or final design of this boat. Almost everything on board is custom, from the furniture to the lighting fixtures and design, to the art that adorns the walls. This includes the commissioned Estella Fransbergen sculpture glittering at the base of the grand staircase and the custom Swarovski white rock quartz crystal and polished nickel chandelier hat hangs above a spiral staircase in the main foyer. Halffman Designs had the opportunity to work with the best upholsterers, work-rooms, artists, craftsman, lighting designers on the details and finishes, having carefully selected all the crafts people and vendors involved in this project looking for the best.
