Interior Designer: Luxury Projects – Laura Pomponi

Exterior Designer: Tim Heywood Design

Shipyard: Damen Yachting – Amels

Luxury Projects Studio was asked to develop an interior design concept by Damen Yachting for the 60mt yacht Amels LE200, and accepting this challenge, had a real chance to express their creativity and utilize new ideas during the entire design process. The brief was a top luxury interior, appealing to a large clientele.

Based on a nearly fixed GA, Luxury Projects (LP) were still able to add features and finishes to the existing lay-out in order enhance guest comfort and crew service in, mainly in the exterior areas. LP tried to create a timeless style with the idea that the major innovative features could represent the basic design of the new fleet Limited Edition 200, allowing easy further changes to match the clients’ tastes with be-spoken free-standing furniture giving then the character to the interior and exterior areas and reduce the dominance of structural furniture.

For further enhancement of the warm cosy outdoor feeling, Luxury Projects designed and selected modern furniture but still rich of detailing and bright colours. Comfort and lounging were the key requests for the deck areas.

Fully custom designed dining tables with special teak patterns on the top are combined with comfy fabric woven dining chairs in the Bridge Deck and with more sportive director chairs in the Sun Deck, where a special pool layout has been created. The bar area has two opposite counter tops allowing to serve drinks on both sides when guests are inside the pool or sitting on the stools.

Main deck aft features a custom made cabinet with teak doors and special cement finished stone coffee and side tables, all decoration in the brown orange tones with custom weaved fabrics seamlessly matches the main salon colours. Comfortable and proper depth sofas were selected for both Main and Bridge deck aft areas. All armchairs, side tables and outdoor lamps are loose / free standing elements, allowing guests to change the layout of the deck areas combining elements of furniture for a more chill-out or conversation/sitting setting.
