The concept for the interior design of this yacht came from the client, who wanted a superyacht that was designed and built in China. It was important to the client that the design scheme reflected the unique lifestyle and values of Chinese life and contained every cultural element of this part of the Eastern world.

The choice of materials is drawn from the tranquil tone of the East, feeling purer and more durable than you would usually encounter on a yacht of this kind. Dark and light grey shadows combine perfectly with off-white leather and linen, featuring lighting champagne lacquer panels throughout.

Besides the interpretation from the perspective of academics and experiential perceptions of Eastern culture, there are also the carefully selected art pieces in the design that speak to the nature around it. The designers believe that this is also a show of lifestyle, values and thinking. The art pieces include drawings from Wuji Zhao to the works of Yuyi Jin that shows the dream of children towards the infinite ocean. Contemporary arts present different themes in different stage settings in various areas of this superyacht. The complexity and diversity co-exists, emphasizing the uniqueness of the space it exists in.

Aiming to set new standards in terms of comfort, flexibility and space, Heysea Yachts & Horizontal Design decided to push boundaries where possible, moving ceilings up and replacing walls with glass – all on the basis of a transoceanic luxury yacht.

Wind Rider 1 is a superyacht with international nature yet the charm of Chinese oriental culture, a pearl in the open ocean.
