Interior Designer: Alessia Mainardi Ltd

Interior Fit-Out: West Star Aviation

Alessia Mainardi Ltd has unveiled its latest achievement in interior design with the complete refurbishment of a Bombardier Challenger 300, delivering a sleek and luxurious upgrade that blends contemporary styling with the strict demands of aviation certification. This marks the second major interior overhaul for the 2006 built aircraft, which now emerges as a refined, modern space tailored to the expectations of discerning private jet clients.

At the heart of the project was the challenge of reimagining the jet’s nine passenger cabin within the rigid structural constraints of its original design. The seating, in particular, required innovative solutions: while the seat structures had to remain unchanged to meet aviation standards, Alessia Mainardi Ltd achieved a new visual identity by expertly modifying the seat foam, adjusting proportions, and introducing meticulously crafted stitch lines. The result is a seamless fusion of form and function, maintaining compliance without compromising aesthetics.

The cabin’s interior is defined by a carefully curated palette of off white and charcoal grey Garret leather, with contrasting stitching that unifies the colour scheme. Black veneer tables with a high gloss finish, piano black lacquered panels, and Ultraleather covered window panels and headliner contribute to the jet’s clean, contemporary ambiance. Flooring transitions effortlessly from custom loop pile charcoal carpeting to textured black stair treads and vinyl, offering both comfort and durability.

Galley and lavatory enhancements include elegant Limestone Prima countertops and upgraded sink and tap fittings, further elevating the onboard experience. Every element was chosen for its ability to balance luxury with resilience, qualities essential in high performance aviation interiors.

This transformation is a testament to the collaborative effort of a highly skilled team, including upholsterers, engineers, and certification specialists. Their precision and dedication ensured that every detail met rigorous safety standards while contributing to an elevated aesthetic.

The refurbished Challenger 300 by Alessia Mainardi Ltd stands as a prime example of modern private aviation design, where technical mastery and elegant minimalism work in harmony to deliver a jet that is as functional as it is visually striking.
