Emotto Design has unveiled Samodiva, a groundbreaking 65ft performance cruiser concept that redefines the balance between innovation, luxury, and sustainability. Inspired by Bulgarian folklore, where the Samodiva is a mystical forest nymph associated with nature and water, the yacht encapsulates elegance while integrating advanced design features to enhance both form and function.

With a fresh approach to the classic performance cruiser, Samodiva introduces several innovations typically reserved for larger yachts. Separate gangways and designated pathways ensure a clear distinction between crew and guest areas, significantly improving privacy and onboard experience. The yacht also boasts enhanced visibility for the helmsman, alongside multi-level decks that provide carefully curated spaces for relaxation, socialising, and uninterrupted sailing.

Sustainability remains at the heart of this project. As a sailing vessel, Samodiva is inherently eco-friendly, but Emotto Design has taken this commitment further by prioritising lightweight composite materials with a high carbon fibre content. The interior incorporates FSC-certified veneer panels and responsibly sourced wooden elements, while all fabrics meet OEKO-TEX standards, ensuring they are free from harmful substances and fully recyclable. This focus on environmental responsibility is seamlessly woven into the yacht’s aesthetic, with natural, organic shapes that establish a deep connection between passengers and the sea.

The yacht’s hull design has been carefully optimised to enhance performance without compromising on comfort. By minimising righting moment and extending the waterline length beyond competitors, Samodiva delivers exceptional speed and stability under sail. Meanwhile, natural light plays a crucial role in shaping the interior experience, flooding the spaces with an airy openness that enhances the sense of connection with the surrounding environment.
