Richard Roseman Airborne Design, in collaboration with 3DViz, has unveiled a new private jet interior concept that pushes the boundaries of conventional aircraft design. The project allowed the designers to explore creative avenues free from the usual constraints, by conceptualising not only the cabin but also the client—a fictitious yet meticulously detailed persona who demanded a unique aesthetic and functionality for his aircraft.

The client in this creative exercise was imagined as an unapologetic connoisseur of “male things,” with a love for luxury watches, cigars, and extreme sports. This brief led to the development of a highly tailored interior design that eschews the traditional Gulfstream configuration in favour of something far more extravagant and personal. Notable features include a continuous ceiling mosaic made of individual mother-of-pearl tiles and a transparent, three-dimensional window-wall treatment that enhances the cabin’s sense of space and luxury. Additionally, compound curved cabinetry faces—rare in business aviation—add a sculptural element to the interior.

A signature feature of the concept is a 240% scale digital and analogue recreation of a KF watch, prominently placed at the far end of the cabin. This serves as both a nod to the client’s love for Swiss timepieces and a functional digital flight data readout. Complementing this is a 460% scale recreation of a watch movement, adorning one of the credenzas, which further emphasises the bespoke nature of the design.

The colour palette reflects the client’s preferences, blending coffee and camel-coloured leathers with white accents—a concession to his fiancée’s love for the colour. This combination of hues creates a sophisticated yet comfortable atmosphere, aligning with the client’s lifestyle, which includes river kayaking and aerobatic flying.

What makes this concept particularly remarkable is how it transcends the usual limitations imposed by Gulfstream on customisation. The design goes well beyond the scope of typical OEM allowances, offering a truly unique and personalised flying experience that redefines luxury jet interiors. For Richard Roseman Airborne Design, this exercise in creativity has resulted in a design that is both visually stunning and functionally superior, turning a standard Gulfstream interior into a bespoke masterpiece.
