IDEA and Sanlorenzo have collaborated to create a yacht interior that embodies elegance, comfort, and bespoke luxury. Designed as a “family boat,” the vessel reflects the client’s vision of a serene and inviting sanctuary at sea, where fluid forms and rich textures create a harmonious living environment.

Central to the design is a carefully curated colour palette described by the client as “matt lux,” featuring warm, neutral tones of beige, ivory, and taupe. These hues are complemented by deeper earthy accents and natural timber elements, reinforcing a sense of tranquillity. The emphasis on softness extends to the furnishings, with Loro Piana Home Interiors fabrics—including breathable cashmere—providing an exceptional level of comfort traditionally associated with winter materials, yet perfectly suited to a luxurious maritime setting.

Fluidity in form is a defining characteristic of the yacht’s architecture, seamlessly integrated throughout the design. The ceiling, inspired by water-worn pebbles, echoes the organic shapes found in nature, while the curvaceous sofas on the main deck continue this theme of natural movement. The result is a cohesive aesthetic that enhances the overall sense of relaxation and sophistication.

Bespoke craftsmanship is at the heart of the project, with unique design elements that elevate the yacht’s interior. A striking alabaster chandelier serves as a centrepiece, its solid stone construction both a feat of engineering and a testament to artistic innovation. Similarly, a starburst selenite panel acts as a captivating focal point, its crystalline structure reinforcing the yacht’s theme of natural beauty. Custom faucets, crafted from the same stone as the backsplash, further highlight the meticulous attention to detail that defines the vessel.

The main deck is the jewel of the yacht, designed to make an unforgettable first impression. Here, a 100% silk carpet from Taiping’s yacht collection, featuring a subtle naval motif, enhances the sense of luxury underfoot while subtly referencing the maritime setting. The interplay of these exquisite elements—light, texture, and craftsmanship—creates a space that is both visually breathtaking and deeply immersive.

Through this collaboration, IDEA and Sanlorenzo have delivered a yacht interior that seamlessly blends innovation with timeless elegance, offering an unparalleled retreat at sea.
