Eskild Hansen Design Studio has unveiled a distinctive private jet design created in collaboration with Dassault Aviation and the aircraft’s owner, presenting a concept rooted in Scandinavian minimalism and inspired by ancient Nordic craftsmanship.

The project was developed through close cooperation with Dassault Aviation to ensure the design aligned with the high standards associated with Falcon aircraft interiors. Many of the materials, finishes and interior specifications were selected from Dassault Aviation’s proprietary material library and trusted supplier network, ensuring consistency in performance, quality and craftsmanship.

At the heart of the design lies a simple narrative: an arrow moving swiftly through the air. The concept draws inspiration from Scandinavia’s earliest traditions, referencing the flint tools and arrowheads shaped in Denmark more than 6,000 years ago. Eskild Hansen Design Studio translated this historic reference into a contemporary design language that reflects the broader Scandinavian and Danish design heritage. The intention was to create a cohesive identity where story, form, materiality and graphic elements work together across both the exterior and interior.

The design process unfolded over more than a year, evolving from an overarching concept to finely resolved details. The narrative first shaped the aircraft’s exterior identity through bold directional striping that emphasises forward motion. A red “arrowhead” graphic serves as a defining signature, visually reinforcing the theme of speed and precision while integrating seamlessly with the aircraft’s silhouette.

To refine the composition, the design was tested through full scale mock ups directly on the aircraft. Printed graphics, drawings and design elements were mounted on existing aircraft to evaluate proportions, rhythm and readability at full scale. Close collaboration with Dassault Aviation and paint suppliers allowed for multiple iterations of colour, gloss and finish before the final balance was achieved.

Inside the cabin, the narrative continues through a bright and restrained Scandinavian interior characterised by clarity, calmness and material sensitivity. Aviation grade materials are complemented by the integration of specially certified marble within the interior architecture, adding tactile depth and exclusivity while maintaining the simplicity associated with Nordic design.

Together, the matte black exterior and minimalist interior create a deliberate contrast, establishing a unified design identity that links ancient craftsmanship with contemporary aviation design.
