Shipyard: Olympic Yacht Shipyard

The motor yacht Naia has recently undergone a substantial refit under the direction of Seara Maritime, a project that seamlessly brought her aesthetics and systems in line with contemporary standards while preserving her award-winning heritage. Guided by a vision to honour Naia’s original elegance, the refit sought to elevate the onboard experience through a measured combination of restoration and innovation.

The yacht’s original wood paneling, while in relatively good condition, was visually weighed down by the contrast with its older flooring, creating a darker, heavier atmosphere that reduced the perception of space. To address this, Seara Maritime introduced fabric- and wallpaper-clad panels, framed in bronze, strategically positioned over the existing woodwork. This intervention added warmth, texture, and a gentle luminosity, enhancing the interiors without erasing their distinctive character.

To further brighten the ambience, the flooring was replaced with a plush, beige-toned carpet that harmonised with the natural wood. Ceilings were reimagined with fabric panels integrated with advanced lighting systems, and fixed furnishings were upgraded with brushed aluminium Fenix surfaces, offering a refined matte contrast.

Flexibility was also prioritised, with lightweight, movable furniture enabling adaptable arrangements both inside and on deck. Colour was reintroduced in a restrained and purposeful manner, through carefully selected details such as piping on sofas and cushions, injecting vibrancy without compromising the yacht’s calm, elegant palette.

The refit of Naia, masterfully executed by Seara Maritime, stands as a celebration of enduring design elevated by modern luxury. The result is a vessel that embodies enhanced functionality and a refreshed aesthetic identity, proudly showcasing Italian craftsmanship while paying deep respect to her nautical heritage.
