In 2024, AMK Architecture & Design PC completed the ambitious refit of MY SEAKID II, a 56 metre Benetti built megayacht. Commissioned by Angel Yachts, the project was not merely a renovation but a full transformation, aimed at converting the vessel from a private yacht into a world class charter experience.

The brief called for a redesign that would appeal to a discerning charter clientele, while elevating both the yacht’s form and functionality. AMK Architecture & Design approached the project with a focus on transitioning from the yacht’s former Asian inspired aesthetic to a more refined, timeless European luxury style. The new design strategy prioritised spatial clarity, material longevity, and visual continuity, all essential for high end charter operations.

SEAKID II now boasts six guest suites, including two VIP cabins, a beach club complete with gym, expansive salons on the main and upper decks, and a sundeck featuring a Jacuzzi and versatile al fresco spaces. A striking feature is the central staircase, which visually and physically connects the decks as it wraps around a new glass elevator shaft. Previously adorned with bold red walls, the staircase area has been softened with off white textured wallpaper and harmonised with new carpet tones, enhancing the flow between spaces.

In the Main Salon, warm walnut veneers replaced lighter woods, and new custom designed furniture introduced a sense of bespoke sophistication. The dining area was reimagined with a central cabinet featuring a retractable 75 inch screen, flanked by textured white buffets with stainless steel accents and marble tops. Walls upholstered in white leather with mirrored inserts create an atmosphere of layered visual depth.

The Owner’s private lounge on the Upper Deck has been transformed into a stylish wine bar and social space, featuring curated wine displays and offering guests a fresh new area for relaxation and entertainment. Throughout the yacht, suites received bespoke upgrades, with custom rugs, handcrafted headboards, and carefully selected fabrics to create an atmosphere of understated grandeur.

Thanks to AMK’s vision and meticulous execution, MY SEAKID II now seamlessly combines effortless luxury with modern sophistication, offering charter guests an unforgettable and elevated yachting experience.
