Natalie Rodríguez Luxury Design, in collaboration with Boeing Business Jets, has unveiled SOLRISE, an interior concept for the BBJ 787-8 that celebrates light, clarity and understated glamour. Conceived as a “new dawn” for the aircraft, SOLRISE explores how light, rhythm and spatial balance can shape emotional experience in flight, favouring calm continuity and moments of pause over overt displays of opulence.

From the outset, Natalie Rodríguez Luxury Design and Boeing Business Jets envisioned an interior that feels grounded and intuitive, encouraging a more considered journey. The Main Lounge is arranged in a harmonious, symmetrical layout centred on a luminous circular motif that recurs throughout the cabin as a grounding symbol of calm. Rich materials, softly reflective finishes and moody lighting evoke the ambience of a refined cocktail lounge in early afternoon, where daylight filters gently and time appears to slow.

Flowing aft, the lounge opens to a sculptural Coffee Bar that reimagines the ritual of gathering. Both a visual anchor and symbolic gesture, it is designed to awaken the senses while offering a welcoming, quietly transformative focal point within the aircraft.

The Master Bedroom provides a sanctuary in the sky, with a king size bed framed by vertically lit textures, natural accents and rich contrasts. Beyond, a private cinema lounge is nestled within the aft pressure dome, creating an intimate retreat for rest and escape. The adjoining Master Lavatory extends the narrative through heated light and dark Emperador marble marquetry radiating across the floor in a sol inspired composition, accented with walnut inlaid rays. Precision cut stonework, complex pattern matching and the integration of underfloor heating within lightweight aviation substrates demonstrate the specialist craftsmanship required to balance performance with artisanal execution.

Forward, a convertible conference dining area supports both strategic discussions and shared meals, complemented by two guest bedrooms and a mid galley located just aft of the main lounge and coffee bar.

SOLRISE succeeds through disciplined cohesion. Circular geometry, layered materials and purposeful lighting unify distinct spaces into a coherent whole. Calibrated to harmonise with everchanging daylight, the interior feels attuned to time, altitude and journey, fostering reflection, connection and enduring serenity in flight.
