Oyster’s 825 brief was to create a worthy successor to the highly successful 82, providing elegant Superyacht luxury for six guests, with suitably appointed galley and crew areas enabling a full ‘six star’ service without compromise to her performance. Whether it be global cruising or racing, Maegan is always strictly adhering to Oyster’s world renowned reputation for strength and seaworthiness whatever the conditions. Oyster Design would employ the latest 3d technologies to optimise available space within the sleek, easily driven hull from Humphreys Yacht Design. This maximises the standard layout of the en-suite owner and guest accommodation in three double cabins aft, whilst providing independent quarters for four professional crew to run the yacht discreetly.

Abreast of the trend towards lifestyle orientated yachts she would feature a large, full width saloon, with the feeling of light and space which is further enhanced by a state-of-the-art side-sliding glass companionway and Oyster’s trademark triple Seascape windows giving unique views to the horizon when seated. Seamlessly integrating the intricate systems of a high quality modern vessel, with painstaking attention to sound mitigation and unobtrusive service access, would ensure the owners’ enjoyment of the yacht.

The favourite aspect is Maegan’s very linear interior, with joinery in horizontal grain quarter-sawn limed oak and a walnut sole throughout. This creates a spacious and welcoming yacht with a wonderfully open and airy feel, benefiting from judicious use of painted panels and careful fabric selection to add contrast and interest to a minimalist brief from a very knowledgeable and design literate client.
