Project Name: F/LIST® Illuminated Surface System

The introduction of the F/LIST ILLUMINATED SURFACE SYSTEM shines a light on the beauty of atmospheric lighting and the potential it brings to enhance the atmosphere of an aircraft cabin. The illuminated surface system consists of a specially designed LED light panel which sits on the unfinished surface of a monument for example the top, side or edge of a galley, bar, credenza, or table. Once the LED panel is positioned, an incredibly sheer, customized stone veneer is placed on top. Layered lighting has become a standard for luxuriously designed residences, five-star hotels and yachts but until recently executive jet lighting originated from functional over-head panel lighting and individual spotlights above communal areas and seats.

The intricate details of the veneer are showcased as the LED light gleams through to reveal the unique, natural beauty of the stone, while introducing refined lighting to the aircraft cabin. The ingenious combination, which is fully qualified for aviation, is appealing to owners and designers seeking new options to create exceptional lighting design to highlight the counters, tables, sinks or bars.

For the first time in aircraft cabin design the F/LIST ILLUMINATED SURFACE SYSTEM provides the option to have subtle, atmospheric lighting emanating from beneath stone counters from new areas of the cabin. The backlit stone radiates homogenous, gentle lighting. This ability to illuminate defined, individual surfaces is a genuine innovation in business aircraft cabin lighting. It unlocks a treasure chest of lighting-design possibilities that complement existing task and functional light sources.

The system can be controlled by flight crew through the regular cabin management system or, in response to the trend for passengers to use their own devices on board, can be linked to personal digital devices for independent control. Full dimming, and on-off control is available with the system.

The LED panels fulfil aviation flammability requirements and are also waterproof making them suitable for wet zone areas of the cabin including the galley and bathroom areas. No more shuffling about on night flights trying to find soaps, hand creams or towels as the subtle lighting provides just enough luminescence to navigate these smaller spaces.
