Archer Design has created a breathtaking architectural retreat that seamlessly unites art, nature, and contemporary living. Commissioned to design a substantial yet tranquil holiday home in Northern New South Wales, the studio crafted a residence that celebrates both the beauty of its lush one hectare landscape and the refined sensibilities of its art collecting client. The result is a sanctuary of serene luxury, where soaring glazed pavilions and open spaces invite effortless indoor outdoor living.

In keeping with the relaxed rhythm of coastal life, the architecture encourages a natural flow between interior and exterior. Generous openings allow soft breezes and filtered light to permeate the space, while the garden itself serves as a living screen, providing privacy and tranquillity. Should the weather turn, the interior offers a wealth of amenities, including a private gym, sauna, sunken fire pit, and central cocktail bar, each designed for both comfort and entertainment.

Archer Design’s attention to detail extends into the night, where curated artworks are dramatically illuminated to appear as though floating in space, reflected in bronzed mirror panels.
