Argent Design, led by Nicola Fontanella, has completed a remarkable interior renovation of a 5,091 square foot, four-story, five-bedroom, six-bathroom family home. The project aimed to create a tranquil British family home, blending timeless elegance with functional comfort. The result is a meticulously crafted living space that showcases family antiques and bespoke furniture, making it both visually pleasing and exceptionally comfortable.

Argent Design’s expertise in bespoke materials and craftsmanship is evident throughout the home. Most of the cabinetry and furniture were custom-designed by Argent and made in collaboration with esteemed fabric, fixture, and furniture houses such as Lalique, Paolo Moschino, and de Gournay. The home features hand-picked marble slabs from Italy, vintage fabrics from Hermes, Ralph Lauren lighting pieces, and luxurious bedding.

The living room’s fireplace, adorned with a specialty rope detail hand-carved in marble, exemplifies the attention to detail. Similar craftsmanship is seen in the ribbed texture of the stone powder room sink, the pendant lights in the kitchen, and the master bathroom sink. The downstairs cinema room and secondary bedrooms also feature bespoke elements, creating a cohesive design throughout the home.

To achieve Nicola’s vision of a serene yet liveable space, Argent Design created multiple gathering areas. The kitchen and dining room were designed to be airy and open, with seamless access between the two and a terrace off the kitchen. The children’s playroom, adorned with burgundy Hermes fabric, can be transformed into a sleeping space with a custom pullout couch. The downstairs cinema offers unparalleled comfort with bespoke, deep sofa-style seating and vintage artwork against the home’s signature wall panelling. A multifunctional room on the lower level boasts a bar with hand-picked forest green stone and bespoke leather bar stools.
