Tell us a little about your background in design (education, experience, etc) :
My journey into interior design began five years ago when I started designing my own home. Although my academic background is in GIS and land surveying, I quickly realized my passion for creating beautiful and functional spaces. This passion led me to study interior design and immerse myself in the industry, gaining hands-on experience and expanding my knowledge. Recently, I took the next step by launching my own business, where I bring my unique perspective and dedication to every project. My goal is to blend creativity with practicality, helping clients transform their spaces into personalized, well-curated environments.

How would you describe your personal design style?
My design style is a balance of sophistication, warmth, and thoughtful details. I gravitate toward rich textures, deep tones, and well-blended pieces that create a sense of depth and character. I believe in designing spaces that feel both refined and inviting—where every element has a purpose and seamlessly contributes to the overall ambiance. While I appreciate timeless elegance, I also enjoy incorporating unique touches that reflect personality and individuality. My approach is not about following trends but about curating spaces that feel authentic, layered, and effortlessly cohesive.

Where does your design inspiration come from?
My design inspiration comes from my experiences traveling and staying in some of the most beautiful resorts and hotels around the world. I am always drawn to the way these spaces seamlessly blend luxury, comfort, and thoughtful details, creating an atmosphere that feels both refined and inviting. Beyond hospitality design, I find beauty everywhere—from nature’s textures and colors to the rich architectural heritage of different cultures. I take these inspirations and interpret them through my own design lens, creating spaces that feel curated, elegant, and deeply personal.

In what direction do you feel that design is moving towards in a general sense?
I feel that design is moving towards a more personalized and experience-driven approach. People are no longer just looking for aesthetically pleasing spaces—they want environments that reflect their personality, lifestyle, and values. There’s a growing emphasis on rich textures, layered materials, and curated details that create warmth and depth. Sustainability and conscious design are also playing a bigger role, with a focus on timeless, high-quality pieces rather than fast trends. Additionally, hospitality-inspired interiors are becoming more popular, as people seek to bring the comfort and sophistication of luxury hotels into their homes.

Name five key themes to consider when approaching design in the future.
1. Personalization – Spaces should reflect individual style and experiences, not just trends.
2. Sustainability – Choosing quality, eco-friendly materials for long-lasting design.
3. Texture & Layers – Mixing different materials to add depth and warmth.
4. Indoor-Outdoor Connection – Bringing nature inside with light, plants, and open layouts.
5. Comfort & Well-being – Designing spaces that feel inviting, relaxing, and functional.

If you could offer one piece of advice when it comes to designing, what would it be?
Design with intention. Every piece in a space should have a purpose, whether it’s functional, aesthetic, or emotional. Instead of following trends, focus on creating a space that reflects your personality and enhances your lifestyle.

How important are The International Design & Architecture Awards?

Design and architecture awards are valuable as they recognize creativity, innovation, and dedication in the industry. serve as a great platform to showcase my work, connect with other professionals, and push the boundaries of design.

What projects are you currently working on?

I’m currently working on a five-bedroom villa in Dubai, focusing on creating a refined yet comfortable space that reflects the client’s lifestyle. The design emphasizes rich textures, elegant details, and a seamless blend of luxury and warmth. It’s an exciting project that allows me to bring together personalization and sophistication in a way that feels both timeless and inviting.

What was your favourite project to work on and why?
My favorite project so far is the one I submitted for the award. It was a special project where I was able to fully express my design vision, blending rich textures, deep tones, and carefully curated elements to create a space that felt both luxurious and inviting. What made it even more rewarding was the level of personalization involved—every detail was thoughtfully chosen to reflect the client’s lifestyle and aesthetic. Seeing it all come together so seamlessly made it a truly fulfilling experience.

What was your most challenging project to work on and why?
The main difficulty was navigating and finding solutions for building errors, which required a lot of problem-solving and adaptability. When construction issues arise, it’s crucial to think creatively and work closely with contractors to ensure the design vision is still achieved. Despite the challenges, it was a rewarding experience that reinforced the importance of flexibility and attention to detail in design.

Which products/services could you not live without when designing? E.g. Lighting companies, furniture companies
I can’t live without well-curated furniture, lighting, and textures—they all connect to create a cohesive design. The right furniture sets the foundation, lighting enhances the mood, and rich textures add depth and warmth. I always focus on selecting pieces that blend seamlessly, ensuring the space feels balanced, inviting, and thoughtfully designed.

What are your aims and goals for the next twelve months?
My main goal for the next twelve months is to focus on my design work, taking on projects that truly inspire me and allow me to create with passion. I want to refine my style, push my creative boundaries, and bring more depth and uniqueness to each space I design. Expanding my reach and working on more diverse projects is also a priority, ensuring that every design reflects both my vision and the client’s personality. Most importantly, I want to continue growing as a designer, staying inspired and committed to delivering thoughtful, well-curated spaces.

Your most treasured possession?
