Autumn Elizabeth Design

Autumn Elizabeth Design has unveiled Stillpoint, a private jet interior concept conceived as a serene and meticulously crafted environment where residential elegance and timeless materiality coexist in balance. Developed in response to a client’s clear ambition for a calm and deeply personal cabin, the project prioritises comfort and longevity over visual excess, establishing a composed centre within the inherent motion of flight.

While aviation is defined by speed and transition, Autumn Elizabeth Design approached the interior as a grounding space where passengers can work, rest and connect with ease. From the outset, the brief focused on clarity and restraint, calling for an intuitive layout with seamless transitions between dining, working and relaxation. Carefully considered zoning, long sightlines and balanced proportions reinforce spatial continuity, reducing visual noise and enhancing a sense of calm at altitude.

Materiality plays a defining role in shaping the experience. The client favoured tactile finishes that would age gracefully, creating a feeling of permanence within a transient setting. Soft leathers, warm veneer finishes and natural stone surfaces are layered with precision, introducing depth and warmth without overwhelming the cabin. Underfoot, a custom Scott Group Studio carpet with a subdued pattern and nuanced texture provides softness and subtle visual interest while remaining intentionally discreet.

Every element of Stillpoint has been designed with longevity and composure in mind. Storage, cabinetry and service functions are discreetly integrated, maintaining visual clarity while supporting the practical demands of aviation. The result is an interior that feels quietly confident and thoughtfully resolved, demonstrating that a bespoke atmosphere can be achieved without extraordinary engineering or excessive cost.

The project’s success lies in its discipline. Each decision aligns with the overarching intent of calm sophistication, allowing proportion, craftsmanship and spatial planning to take precedence. Soft curves, muted tones and controlled lighting respond sensitively to the unique conditions of flight, reducing sensory fatigue and enhancing passenger wellbeing. At the same time, the interior draws on residential cues, ensuring that, wherever the aircraft may travel, the environment feels familiar, reassuring and enduringly composed.
