FZN at Atlantis The Palm offers a groundbreaking fine dining experience, blending Scandinavian craftsmanship with contemporary luxury, and was brought to life by the renowned Bishop Design. This immersive space creates a deeply intimate atmosphere, where every detail—from the textures and materials to the lighting and layout—plays a role in telling a cultural story.

Bishop Design’s expertise is evident in the seamless integration of design elements that guide guests through a sensory journey. The experience begins with a discreet, almost private entrance, leading into a warm, intimate living room. Soft lighting, plush fabrics, and natural tones evoke a sense of comfort and exclusivity, preparing diners for the unfolding journey. The design moves into the dramatic dining room, with dark, moody lighting and burnished copper accents. At the centre of it all an open kitchen stage for a theatrical dining performance.

Lighting is particularly pivotal in this design, carefully orchestrated by Studio N in collaboration with Bishop Design. The lighting transitions subtly throughout the evening, from ambient warmth in the living room to focused, moody and theatrical intensity in the dining room. These shifts, which align with the meal’s progression, enhance the emotional arc of the experience, heightening anticipation and intimacy.

Bishop Design’s work on FZN highlights a masterful use of space and light to create a refined, immersive environment. Through deliberate, yet organic design choices, the restaurant becomes a sanctuary where luxury is defined not by excess, but by the depth and connection of the experience.
