Canavan Interiors has transformed a fragmented space into a luxurious kitchen-living area that epitomises elegance and functionality. Their meticulous attention to detail and careful architectural reconfiguration have resulted in a harmonious blend of luxury, innovation, and practicality.

Starting with the client’s aspiration for a distinguished yet personalised look, Canavan Interiors utilised their expertise to develop a unique design based on the “Classic” range of cabinetry from the Canavan Showroom. By integrating a living area into the kitchen space and converting an adjacent living area into a formal dining setting, they created a seamless open-plan environment.

The centerpiece of the design is a statement island that serves as a gathering point for family and friends. Canavan Interiors ensured that the island didn’t impede circulation by incorporating a combination of high-level counter stools and low-level banquette seating, providing options for both quick meals and lingering conversations.

The kitchen boasts premium appliances from brands like Wolf, Miele, and Gaggenau, satisfying the client’s desire for functionality and capacity. Every inch of internal space within cabinets and drawers has been customised to accommodate the client’s organisational preferences, reflecting their belief in “a place for everything and everything in its place.”

A warm ambiance permeates the space, elevated by carefully selected finishes and mixed metallic detailing. The Bolection style mantle surround, finished in antique metallic with brushed brass trim, adds a touch of sophistication and highlights the statement stone splash back.

Canavan Interiors overcame design challenges, such as a doorway through to the back hallway, by introducing clever solutions like a secret walk-through cabinet door. The seamless continuity of cabinetry, paired with sweeping curves and circular forms, softens the size of the island and guides viewers around the space effortlessly.
