Set along the banks of the Saint Lawrence River, the Lancaster Residence by Daoust Design is a masterclass in refined, livable architecture. Designed as a 2,990 ft² single-level retreat, the home reflects the firm’s philosophy of creating timeless spaces where light, materiality, and nature are in harmony.

Before construction began, the existing house on the site was relocated and donated to a family in need—an act of sustainability that set the tone for the entire project. Daoust Design then reimagined the site with a focus on effortless living and architectural clarity. Floor-to-ceiling glazing dissolves boundaries between interior and landscape, keeping the river in constant view.

Built by Bone Structure, the residence is as efficient as it is elegant. Specialised artisans contributed to the project’s signature features, from precision stone masonry to seamless concrete finishing.
