Tell us a little about your background in design:
With a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, I bring a strong foundation in spatial planning, materiality, and structural aesthetics to every project. My career began in New Delhi, where I spent three years designing large scale commercial offices for prestigious clients such as ZS Associates & PWC. Over the past eight years, I have built a diverse portfolio spanning both residential and commercial interiors.
Since joining Dapa Atelier in 2022, I have led projects with a client centric, narrative driven approach. My work ranges from high end homes to cutting edge commercial spaces, consistently balancing beauty and purpose. I believe great design emerges from the seamless integration of storytelling, form, and functionality.

How would you describe your personal design style?
My design philosophy centres on creating sculptural, globally curated environments that are both inviting and expressive. I’m particularly drawn to strong colour palettes, layered textures, and tactile materials elements that ground each space in authenticity and emotional resonance. Every project is an opportunity to craft a visual language that reflects the individuality of the client and the context.

Where does your design inspiration come from?
Inspired by nature, cultural heritage, and artisanal craft, I also draw on travel, art, and personal connections to create spaces that are rich in narrative. I’m passionate about collaboration and often incorporate bespoke, handcrafted elements into my work to further personalise the experience of space.

In what direction do you feel that design is moving towards in a general sense?
Looking ahead, design is evolving toward a more holistic, sustainable, and emotionally intelligent approach. There is a growing emphasis on the use of eco conscious materials and biophilic elements that support wellness and foster a deeper connection to nature. As lifestyles continue to shift, spaces are being designed with greater flexibility allowing them to adapt gracefully over time while retaining a timeless sense of style.
Equally important is the rise of storytelling within design every project is seen as an opportunity to craft a distinct narrative. Through careful material selection, spatial flow, and curated details, design becomes a medium for personal and cultural expression transforming interiors into meaningful, memorable experiences.

Name five key themes to consider when approaching design in the future.
• Biophilic Design – Integrating natural materials and greenery to enhance well being.
• Neuroaesthetics – Applying design psychology to uplift mood and mental clarity.
• Storytelling Through Design – Creating meaningful narratives through material, layout, and detail.
• Warm, Inviting Spaces – Prioritising ambiance, comfort, and tactility.
• Adaptable & Functional Aesthetics – Designing spaces that evolve with changing needs.

If you could offer one piece of advice when it comes to designing, what would it be?
Push boundaries and trust your instincts. The most compelling designs emerge from a place of confidence and a willingness to take thoughtful creative risks. True innovation rarely happens within the comfort zone. Striking the right balance between aesthetics and problem solving is essential every design decision should elevate both form and function with intention and purpose.

How important are The International Design & Architecture Awards?
These awards hold profound significance as they honour innovation, craftsmanship, and excellence in design on a global stage. To be recognised by such a prestigious platform is more than a celebration of creativity it is a powerful affirmation of the transformative role thoughtful design plays in shaping the way we experience and interact with the spaces around us.

What projects are you currently working on?
Currently, I’m working on several premium residential schemes across London and the Home Counties, as well as innovative commercial projects that explore new dimensions of materiality and spatial flow.

What was your favourite project to work on and why?
One of my most meaningful projects to date has been the JTRE Triptych Bankside Scheme, a celebration of art and culture that allowed for deep creative exploration and collaboration with both local and international artists. The project’s richly layered textures, curated materials, and bespoke installations made it a standout moment in my career.
Challenges are inherent to design, and one of the most complex I’ve navigated involved integrating a large bespoke media unit around restrictive ventilation systems. This required a custom 3 metre wide hinged and castor based solution, reflecting my commitment to design that solves problems without compromising beauty.

What was your most challenging project to work on and why?
Every project presents its own set of challenges, but one particularly demanding undertaking involved working around complex ventilation systems and restricted access. Overcoming these constraints required agile problem solving and seamless collaboration with both the client and suppliers. The result was a bespoke 3 metre wide media unit, designed with a 90 degree hinge and castor system, allowing effortless access to the ventilation. This experience reinforced the vital role of adaptability in design, turning a challenge into a rewarding solution.

Which products/services could you not live without when designing? E.g. Lighting companies, furniture companies :
• Wallcoverings – Arte for their textured, luxurious finishes.
• Lighting – Aromas sculptural pieces that elevate every environment.
• Paints – Coat sustainable, richly pigmented, and high performance.
• Joinery – Bespoke elements that bring soul and uniqueness to every space.

What are your aims and goals for the next twelve months?
My 12 month goals include deeper exploration of sustainable practices, material experimentation, and expanding collaborations with artisans.
I aim to further expand my knowledge, explore new materials, and design projects that are both memorable and meaningful. Advancing sustainability and fostering deeper collaborations with artisans will also be key objectives in the year ahead.
