What sets Kiyoshi apart is its quiet emotional power. It balances restraint with richness, minimalism with storytelling, and functionality with feeling. The handcrafted details, ambient lighting, and layered materiality contribute to a space that feels timeless, poetic, and deeply human. Through collaboration with local makers and artists, DBM Studio has created not just a restaurant, but a sanctuary—where design becomes a shared cultural experience rooted in both heritage and innovation.
Designed by DBM Studio under the direction of Principal Interior Designer Mahsa Gholizadeh, Kiyoshi is a contemporary Japanese restaurant that seamlessly merges tradition with innovation. Located in Dubai Creek Harbour, the space offers a quiet contrast to the area’s architectural spectacle, favouring intimacy, craftsmanship, and storytelling over visual noise.
