The International Design & Architecture Awards 2025
At the heart of the project was a commitment to retaining original period details, such as mouldings and fireplaces, while introducing contemporary layers that bring vibrancy and sophistication to the space. Elicyon worked closely with artisans and designers to create custom pieces, ensuring that nearly every element, from wallpaper to furniture, was thoughtfully designed to contribute to the home’s unique character.
Flexibility was a key consideration in the design, particularly in social spaces. The grand formal living room was designed with adaptable seating arrangements—sofas positioned back-to-back create intimate settings for everyday family life but can be rearranged to accommodate larger gatherings. A versatile games room doubles as a study, with a convertible card table allowing for effortless transitions between work and play.
The result is a home that feels both deeply personal and effortlessly sophisticated. The interplay of historic charm and contemporary artistry reflects the cosmopolitan energy of London while paying homage to the heritage of Regent’s Park’s grand Georgian and Regency-style homes. With its carefully curated interiors and bespoke craftsmanship, Project Albert exemplifies Elicyon’s ability to create spaces that are both timeless and tailored to modern family living, ensuring a seamless dialogue between past and present.
