Elicyon has once again showcased its expertise in transforming spaces with the completion of a triplex apartment nestled behind the iconic John Nash façade. Overlooking Regents Park, this residence marries contemporary comforts with classic elegance, creating a harmonious balance of sculptural forms and period architecture.

Tasked with fashioning a multifunctional family home for an international family, Elicyon embarked on a journey to infuse the space with intriguing shapes and a contemporary interpretation of London living. The client’s preference for cool tones posed an interesting challenge—creating a bright, light-filled environment that exudes warmth on the typically grey London days.

In reverence to its prestigious location, the interior design pays homage to the architectural grandeur of the iconic façade. Elicyon delicately weaved period-inspired moulding and panelling details into the design, seamlessly blending them with contemporary joinery and furniture selections.

The expansive reception room, bathed in the abundance of natural light through generously scaled windows, serves a triple-duty role—dining room, dual-arrangement sitting room, and study space. This multifunctional approach resonates with the modern lifestyle aspirations of the young international family.

A distinctive feature of the project was the client’s desire to play with a mix of hard materials, textured fabrics, and captivating shapes. This design principle extended to the curated collection of art and decorative objects, each chosen to align seamlessly with the overarching narrative of the project.

Elicyon successfully achieved the client’s vision of a comfortable home that reflects London through an international lens. The design not only captures the diverse and multicultural essence of the capital but also pays homage to refined British luxury.
