Faye Robinson Interiors were enlisted to provide full interior design services for an impressive Georgian property located in Yorkshire. The project spanned a period of two years from initial concept to completion and perfectly reflects the client’s sense of style whilst providing an inviting, luxurious and timeless family home.

The project brief focused on marrying the traditional Georgian character of this imposing property with striking new contemporary interior architectural elements and styling to suit the client’s tastes. Faye Robinson Interiors were tasked with creating new interior schemes for the substantial family home which has seen property renovation works and layout changes to remodel the existing property.

Working to the client brief the designers employed a largely monochromatic colour palate with natural wood and layered texture throughout. Special attention was paid to implement warm, ambient lighting employed within the joinery and has been paired with premium wow factor finishes such as panda marble, solid brass, bespoke wall panelling, and Calacatta Oro extra marble.

The beautiful hallway was newly panelled with bespoke diamond panelled doors and opens up to a new spiral staircase before leading onto an extended lounge room which includes new double doors to one side leading to a concealed ebony study and new pocket sliding doors to the other side which reveal a home bar and dining room. The main living room uses ivory tones with feature panelling sat against a contrasting nero marble bespoke fireplace and inset recessed illuminated display shelf next to a panelled secret door to storage room. A stunning contemporary kitchen also leads off from the main lounge which features two islands and a bespoke curved banquette to window.

There is a common aesthetic design thread that runs through the full interior of the house which uses a classic, monochromatic backdrop warmed with tactile wood, brass and ambient lighting. Though classic and paired back throughout,  there are a couple of surprises also such as secret doors, dark bathrooms and an impressive marble home bar which is hidden behind pocket sliding doors from the main lounge. Each room has been designed to complement the rest of the house but to have its own personality. Great attention to detail has been considered and crafted throughout the interiors to ensure a cohesive but inviting scheme that although elevated for contemporary living also, at its core remains sympathetic to the period of the property.
