The International Design & Architecture Awards 2025
Working within the existing structure, Fe Design Interiors re-mapped the entire internal floorplan to provide distinct zones across all levels, thoughtfully designed for family life, entertaining, and retreat. The design balances elegance and practicality, with every room planned to accommodate future growth for a family of five. Storage was a primary concern, seamlessly integrated to support daily function while preserving the home’s serene aesthetic.
Central to the redesign is a striking 9-metre stair wall clad in limestone, anchoring the home in its natural setting and introducing warmth and texture. The palette, inspired by the clients’ desire for a timeless white base, is complemented by earthy tones and tactile materials that harmonize with the landscape. A freestanding fireplace acts as both a sculptural feature and a subtle room divider, fostering intimacy without disrupting the open plan.
Fe Design Interiors has also placed emphasis on environmental sensitivity, using passive solar principles and integrating solar panels to enhance sustainability without compromising style. Expansive glazing, vertical screening, and timber flooring not only withstand family life but elevate the sense of space and connection to the outdoors. The layout enhances views of the infinity-edge pool and harbour beyond, blurring the line between interior and landscape.
Through a masterful blend of craftsmanship, material richness, and spatial intelligence, Fe Design Interiors has delivered a timeless and luxurious coastal home that feels deeply rooted in place while elevating everyday living.
