Felicity Interiors

Felicity Interiors has completed a kitchen project that balances minimalist design with a bold material composition, creating a space tailored for entertaining while remaining highly refined. The kitchen is defined by a carefully curated palette of ebonised brushed oak, polished Arabescato marble and brushed stainless steel, brought together to form a composition that feels energetic yet composed. Designed for a client who loves gathering with friends and family, the kitchen places social connection at its heart.

A large island providing seating for six to eight people anchors the space, making it the natural focal point for hosting and everyday living. Felicity Interiors understood that for the kitchen to function as an inviting entertaining area, clutter needed to disappear from view. Appliances were therefore discreetly concealed, allowing the materials and proportions to take precedence. Handless Gaggenau 400 Series refrigeration units were hidden behind knock to open stainless steel fronts, creating a seamless and uninterrupted wall surface that reinforces the kitchen’s clean aesthetic.

Further refinement came through the concealment of ovens behind pocket doors, enabling Felicity Interiors to introduce two striking columns in ebonised timber. These columns frame the expansive Arabescato marble splashback, turning it into a dramatic visual centrepiece. Set within a generous open plan room that opens onto the garden, the kitchen’s strong identity helps anchor the larger space and define its purpose.

Attention to detail was central to the design. The timber doors feature a 2.5mm veneer that has been hand brushed to reveal a deep, tactile grain. Custom stainless steel doors were produced to match the Gaggenau panels precisely, providing additional storage while allowing the kitchen to rise in height and respond confidently to the four metre ceilings. The stonework was meticulously planned so the marble grain flows seamlessly around the island and across the wall slabs, resulting in a kitchen that feels both sculptural and effortless.
