G&K Yachting SA has successfully completed the extensive refit of a legendary Oceanco superyacht, transforming it into a vessel that sets new standards in luxury and performance. With meticulous upgrades to both interior and exterior spaces, the project aimed to honour the yacht’s prestigious pedigree while introducing contemporary design elements and cutting-edge technology.

Driven by the owner’s vision of creating a fresh and sophisticated atmosphere, the refit focused on removing unnecessary classic details and minimising the mixture of heterogeneous materials and tones. The result is a refined, quiet, and comfortable environment, enhanced by subtle colour accents and delicate spackling materials. Rather than embracing exuberance, the new design incorporates understated yet sophisticated details, ensuring a timeless appeal.

Every aspect of the yacht has been rebuilt and upgraded to preserve its legacy for generations to come. G&K Yachting SA worked in close collaboration with Oceanco on engineering and exterior refinements, while the interior was reimagined by Alex Thiriat. Key upgrades include a newly designed mast, a refreshed exterior colour scheme, bespoke exterior furniture, and a completely renewed teak deck. The interior strikes a perfect balance between simplicity and intricate detailing, exuding both elegance and comfort.

The refit extended beyond aesthetics, with significant advancements in the yacht’s technical capabilities. A fully rebuilt and upgraded engine room enhances performance, integrating modern systems while respecting the limitations of the vessel’s original framework. The seamless combination of advanced technology and the yacht’s classic engineering ensures exceptional efficiency and reliability.

Completed in an impressive nine-month timeframe, Project G was an ambitious and complex undertaking, executed with unwavering attention to detail and the highest standards of craftsmanship. The transformation took place in Perama, Greece, breathing new life into this 20-year-old superyacht and turning it into a masterpiece that reflects the dreams and aspirations of its owners. With its Oceanco heritage preserved and its design elevated to new heights, this remarkable yacht is poised to sail into the future as a benchmark of excellence in the world of luxury yachting.
