Habitus Design Group

Habitus Design Group has completed the ambitious interior design for Solaire North, the Philippines’ first five-star integrated resort in Quezon City. Tasked with creating an urban oasis that would redefine luxury hospitality in the region, Habitus Design Group brought the client’s vision to life with an extensive and detailed design approach across over 40 storeys of hospitality, leisure, and entertainment spaces.

Working in collaboration with Aedas, the architects behind the vertical structure, Habitus Design Group meticulously planned and executed the interiors of 526 guestrooms, a collection of suites, 17 diverse dining destinations, multiple bars and lounges, a 1,800-square-metre ballroom, a spa, gym, Kids Club, expansive pool areas, and a high-end retail avenue. Innovation and artistry shaped every detail, with over 12,000 drawings produced to guide the process and ensure a seamless narrative throughout.

At the heart of the design is a commitment to rhythm and flow, encouraging exploration while providing luxurious retreats for every guest. Guestrooms feature a neutral palette enlivened by bold textiles and artwork, while suites are strategically oriented to maximise views and accommodate varying needs for privacy and connection.

Signature restaurants include Yakumi, where shadow and timber details create an intimate Japanese setting; Red Lantern, a lavish Chinese dining space; and Finestra, which crowns the top level with its dramatic theatre kitchen and rich interiors. The Sky Bar offers a reinterpretation of a Western club, complete with wine and cigar vaults and a rooftop terrace designed as a room in the sky.

Anchoring the atrium is Mangrove, the world’s largest glass sculpture and a defining statement of the project. Designed by Habitus Design Group and executed by artist Nikolas Weinstein, this 27-metre-high installation of 25 kilometres of glass tubing symbolises the organic beauty of nature and the spirit of innovation that runs throughout the resort.
