The scheme includes five elevated Woodland ‘Nest’ Suites, four River Suites, and a communal Clubhouse—each designed for privacy, accessibility, and deep connection with nature. Henry J Lyons responded with a treehouse-inspired approach, raising the Woodland Suites on engineered stilts to minimise ground disturbance and preserve the woodland ecosystem.
The brief placed environmental stewardship at its core, requiring the removal of invasive species, introduction of native planting, and creation of wildlife corridors. The use of natural materials, including blackened spruce cladding and sedum roofs, ensures harmony with the surroundings, while carefully framed views and elevated walkways enhance the sensory arrival sequence.
