HILITECH developed Metura as a certified composite décor system that enables the creation of individual yet repeatable premium surfaces for aviation, yachting and other high end markets. The brief centred on establishing a fully certified, design led surface solution that combines project specific identity with consistent quality standards while meeting the highest regulatory requirements.

The system positions visible composite surfaces as refined design elements rather than purely technical materials. Certification formed part of the design process from the outset, ensuring the material meets the demands of highly controlled environments while giving designers freedom to define surface depth, material expression and visual identity at project level.

Consistency in form and geometry was fundamental. Metura performs with the same visual precision and material stability in both 2D laminates and tooling based 3D components. This allows a unified material language across panels, structural elements and sculptural features without loss of alignment, surface clarity or aesthetic intent.

The balance between individuality and coherence was carefully addressed. While each project can express its own character, surface quality and material expression remain visually consistent across spaces and applications, supporting long term spatial clarity and harmony. Controlled reflections, defined finishes and long term visual stability enable the material to integrate naturally into interior and exterior settings.

Metura is produced in Austria through highly skilled manual composite craftsmanship, supported by in house training and a dedicated apprenticeship in fibre composite technology, ensuring reliable quality within a complex certified production process.
