What was your favourite project to work on and why?
The project that I have submitted as the Clients were keen to take on board the detailed layout plans and design aesthetic as presented. They choose the carefully considered pieces of furniture and accessories as we presented to transform this out-dated house into a design led home that now functions for the family to live, relax, entertain and work from.
What was your most challenging project to work on and why?
A recent project whereby the budget was very constrained, there was no contingency in terms of funds as issues arose during the renovation process. The kitchen which was the key component in the project was delayed by weeks from Germany due to transport which, caused huge stress issues for the family and to myself.
Which products/services could you not live without when designing?
Lighting layout plans, good light fixtures and a lighting control system. Good flooring as it’ forms the basis of the design aesthetic, good joiner, and other craftsmen/women as without the various skillsets our design work would not translate into the vision that we aspire to achieve for our Clients.
What are your aims and goals for the next twelve months?
To continue working in this field of design as I am passionate about it. Renovation projects are perhaps my favourite sector of this industry, despite being time consuming; it is all about taking the Clients on ‘a journey’ from concept through to completion and hopefully enriching their lives in terms of well-being along the way.
